3. Junos MPLS Fundamentals (JMF)
This is the last course that’s directly related to the Juniper JN0-362 exam. Similarly, it has a duration of 2 days and is meant to give candidates an upper hand when preparing for their exams by focusing on Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). It starts by introducing the essential MPLS concepts such as the structure of the MPLS header and MPLS forwarding. Then, it addresses the configuration and operation of LDP and RSVP. What’s more, this training option gives special attention to the topics of MPLS traffic protection and traffic engineering including link/node protection, LDP loop-free alternate, and fast reroute. Throughout the training, the concepts you learn will be put to good use through a series of demonstrations and hands-on labs to help you gain critical experience in the configuration and monitoring of MPLS on devices running Junos OS. In general, the class content can be summarized into two sections for the first and second days. Thus, the content to be covered on the first day includes the course introduction alongside MPLS Fundamentals, Label Distribution Protocols, and Routing Table Integration. On the other hand, day 2 focuses on Constrained Shortest Path First, Traffic Protection and LSP Optimization, Fate Sharing, and Miscellaneous MPLS features.
