Introduction to GISP Exam
The GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) recently announced that it has reviewed the project for its examination of basic geospatial technical knowledge. The exam is a mandatory element for those who wish to qualify for the institution's GISP certification. As of the December 2019 review, approximately 8% of the plan will be new, while 92% of the plan will be transferred. The original plan was developed in 2015 and served as the basis for the review administered by GISCI. The new plan was developed based on the contributions of 2,400 GISP and reflects the changes in the GIS sector.
The GIAC GISP exam is the only one necessary to obtain the GIAC Information Security Professional certification.
Candidates for GISP Certification Exam
